When a business owner is thinking of retiring, selling the business, or passing the business on to their kids, it's essential that they know the real market value of their business. That's not always an easy thing to measure, especially for a business whose success may hinge at least in part on the continued presence of its founder.
Do you know what your business is worth? Do you know how to find out? I've come across an article in www.divestopedia.com that discusses an online tool that business owners can use to valuate their businesses. I haven't used this tool myself, but it is described as "simple and affordable" in the article. Click here to go to an article that features Michael Carter of BizEquity talking about this software and what business owners can expect from it. You will be able either to read the article or to listen to it.
If you'd rather go right to the site of the software without reading the article, click here. If any readers use this valuation tool, I'd love some feedback about it.
