"It's rumored that Karl Lagerfeld left millions to his cat. The average person can do the same thing -- minus the millions, of course." This is the premise of a new article on www.abovethelaw.com, which talks about how celebrities leave millions to their precious pooches, kitties, and yes, chimps. It also discusses that those of us with less celestial estates can take care of our pets through our wills. It's an entertaining and interesting article that you can read by clicking here.
Sometimes my clients want to leave money for the care of their pets but they really don't know how to go about it. Sometimes they are even a bit embarrassed to ask. I always tell my clients that I want them to tell me what's important to them. Whether it's their children, their pets, or their porcelain umbrella collection, the client's wishes are paramount. Nobody should feel silly for asking how they can protect their fur-kids!
