Death and dying in Canada Q & A

I've just watched a really informative video from CBC News in which they interviewed a doctor who specializes in palliative care. This video is  packed with information about the dying process, palliative care, and the decisions families have to make near the end of someone's life. I learned a lot from it and I highly recommend it to anyone who has an elderly or sick loved one who is nearing end of life. Click below to watch.

  1. Which province law applies. A person has a "home address" in BC, but is denied to return to this address following an RCMP arrest. The person returns to his parents address in Alberta. He dies in Alberta only 7 days later. He has no will, and assets apparently less than $100. He has a surviving spouse in Alberta, but is separated. He was living with a partner in BC for 3 years, but was kicked out (not allowed to return to house after RCMP arrest; house fully owned by partner). Which provincial laws applies.
