How do you donate your body to science?

From time to time, I'm asked by clients to talk about donating their bodies to science. Most of the time the conversation comes up in the context of talking about Advance Health Care Directives, as I always ask them about whether they'd like to donate organs or tissues for transplant or research. While donating for transplant is actually a pretty popular choice, not nearly as many people are willing to donate their bodies to science.

However, for those who do want to know more about that option, I'd like to share a link to an article by lawyer Jasmine Sweatman. Ms. Sweatman tells us that there's more to it than simply a statement in your will or health care directive. Click here to read her suggestions for setting up your donation.

Would you consider leaving your body to science? Why or why not? Have you already arranged it? Let me know in the comments.
