Resource for caregivers - The Caregiver Compass

I have come across a really good resource for those of you looking after a parent or spouse. It's a care-giving guide for Canadians called The Caregiver Compass, and it's free. I'm not associated with this guide or the people who prepared it, but it looks pretty useful to me so I thought I'd pass it on to you. Here are some of the topics covered by the 60-page guide:

  • Where to begin as a caregiver;
  • Important conversations with family and friends;
  • Caregiving responsibilities such as daily living needs and home safety;
  • Managing finances and legal arrangements; and
  • Preventing caregiver burnout.

It's available to view online, as a download, and a printed handbook. Click on the link below to have a look.

  1. Thank you for sharing the information.

    Care givers are very important as they not only helps the elders during their old age but, they are also helping them to develop both physically and mentally.

    Many centers are focusing on the service of care giving and there is a center named as No place like home care llc who is providing the service of home health care at St Petersburg.
