Power of Attorney: Lessons from the trenches
Posted by
Lynne Butler, BA LLB
I'm attaching an article by Judith Chopra in www.creditcards.ca . In the article, Ms. Chopra talks about what she learned the hard way when acting as Power of Attorney for her father. She integrates some of the things I've said in the past about using the POA to help prevent abuse. It's an interesting, down-to-earth story. Click here to read it.

ReplyDeleteThanks for your valuable direction may i know which correct time to make power of attorney.
ReplyDeleteHello WWC,
DeleteMost of the time, customers make their Enduring Powers of Attorney at the same time that they make their wills and health care directives.
That way, they are covered no matter what happens in the future. Is that the way you do it, too?
