Limits on the authority of notaries public to draft wills in BC

Whenever I find information that helps people to become more informed consumers of legal services relating to wills, I like to share it in this blog. Today I'd like to share a blog post from Stan Rule, a BC lawyer who blogs at http://rulelaw.blogspot.ca/. In this post, Mr. Rule talks about the fact that in BC, notaries (who are not lawyers) are able to draft some wills, and clarifies that wills containing trust and certain other provisions may only be drafted by lawyers. You may find this information useful in deciding who to consult about your own will. Click here to read the article.
