Caregivers can do much to help elderly manage their money

This article from the National Post talks about specific financial steps a person can take to help a senior they might be looking after. Although the article - which has great tips - doesn't talk about Power of Attorney, some of the ideas in the article might require the helper to have power of attorney, depending on how much help the senior needs.
